Rhumba is a very impressive, athletic, bold mare who loves to jump big and has fantastic form over fences.  Her striking head and beautiful eye is a signature stamp on her offspring (see her 2007 foal, Ramirus.)  This large framed, solid, line bred G. Ramiro Z mare with a very powerful hind end has an extremely kind, loving temperament and is without doubt our top broodmare.  Rhumba loves being a mother which is why we have bred her again this year instead of showing her.

Rhumba and our other mare The Divine Miss X tied for high score in Atlantic Canada during the Canadian Warmblood Mare inspection in 2007.  Their score of 7.5 was surprisingly high since the inspection took place only one month before they were due to foal and due to their pregnancy found it difficult to perform a strong trot.  They will be reassessed at the 2008 inspection.

Rhumba Z has just foaled a colt sired by the famous Quidam de Revel (Selle Francaise) stallion.  In 2004 Quidam de Revel topped the World Breeding Championships Jumping Stallion ratings for the 2nd year running, establishing himself as the pre-eminent and most expensive living sire of jumping horses. Three of his young offspring competed at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing - all had clear or four fault rounds!
